Key Features:
This covers the entire TAMKO Complete® roof system, including materials, labor, 50-Year Full Start® Coverage: tear-off, removal, and disposal, with no out-of-pocket expense during the initial period. Unlike standard limited warranties, the coverage for TAMKO Platinum does not diminish or depreciate over 50 years.
Workmanship Coverage & Transfers:
A significant benefit is the inclusion of a 10-year workmanship warranty from TAMKO, meaning TAMKO will arrange a Pro Contractor to repair, even if the original contractor has gone out of business. The enhanced limited system warranty can be transferred to a new homeowner for up to 20 years from the original installation date, increasing property value.

What the GAF “Weather Stopper® System Plus Limited Warranty” (sometimes shortened to System Plus Ltd. Warranty) covers

The System Plus warranty covers manufacturing defects in major GAF roofing system components (not just the shingles).

For the highest-qualifying installation (single-family detached residence, lifetime shingles, proper accessories) you can get up to 50 years of non-prorated coverage for manufacturing defects.

During the “Smart Choice® Protection Period” (the early years) the coverage is full (100 % of material + labor) for eligible parts. After that period the coverage becomes prorated.

The warranty must be registered (typically by the installer) in a timely manner (for example, within 45 days of installation) to be valid.
